Hindi Rhyme Recitation


Rhyme are an important stepping stone for young children to develop their vocabulary, confidence and also to get rid of stage fear. Keeping this in mind, Hindi rhyme recitation competition was held for classes Pre-Nursery and Nursery. The students participated with great enthusiasm and performed really well.

To improve the handwriting of the tiny tots, a calligraphy competition was conducted for Prep.

Extravaganza of Founders Celebrations


Delhi Public School Khanna celebrated its Eighth Founders Day for seniors on the 18th of Nov, 2018 with vigour and verve. Lt. General B S Sachar, AVSM, VSM, SM (Retd.) was the Chief Guest on the occasion.The event started with the lighting of the Ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest followed by a melodious shabad and the school annual report read by the Principal . The sufi song and the Indo-western orchestra by the DPS choir left everyone spellbound. Various dance performances presenting peace and harmony earned the appreciation of parents and guests alike.The much awaited event of the day- Saragarhi-a theatre production saw big rounds of applause. The grand finale- a bhangra performance enthralled the audience who enjoyed the show to the hilt.

Mrs. Parul Sharma was given the Teacher of the Year Award for his/her excellent performance. Meritorious students were honoured with DPS Scholar Blazers and Scholarships for their outstanding performance in academics.

Chairperson Mr. D.S. Bains motivated the students to work hard to achieve their dreams.

Lt. General B S Sachar, the Chief Guest on the occasion, congratulated the whole DPS family for making a mark in the field of academics, sports and co-curricular activities in the region.

DPS KHANNA CELEBRATES ITS EIGHTH FOUNDERS DAY


Delhi Public School Khanna celebrated its Eighth Founders Day for Juniors on the 17th Nov, 2018 with great enthusiasm and joviality. Mr.P.S. Gill, IPS (Retd.), Former Director General of Police, Punjab was the Chief Guest for the day.The programme commenced with the lighting of the Ceremonial lamp by The Chief Guest. To seek the blessings of Almighty Lord, DPS Choir presented a Shabad. Mrs. Neha Rattan, the Head Mistress read the school report and acquainted the parents with the achievements of the school. The tiny tots of pre-primary wing rocked the stage with their marvellous show ‘Elements of Nature’. Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves- a theatre production presented by the budding artists of Class I&II enthralled the audience. Macarena, a Spanish Dance stole away the hearts of everyone. The rising stars of Grade III spread the vibrant colours of Punjab on the stage with their stunning performance of Giddha and Bhangra.

Gandhi Jayanti Celebration at DPS Khanna

A special assembly was conducted in Delhi Public School Khanna to celebrate the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi. Students were told about the life history and struggle of Mahatma Gandhi who played a vital role in gaining freedom of India through speeches and poems. The assembly concluded with the National Anthem.

Hindi Diwas


DPS Khanna avidly commemorated the Hindi Diwas. The event was marked by the presence of the whole school. The event started with an introductory speech and a poem. It was followed by a drama and a group song. The comedy Hindi poem recitation and group dance were the highlights of the day.

Healthy teeth activity


A confident smile is the best part of an individual’s personality. By maintaining a good oral hygiene and healthy lifestyle, one can avoid common dental problems. The students of Pre-Nursery were taught the importance of brushing the teeth twice everyday. They learnt the different aspects of oral care which included the correct way of brushing the teeth. They learnt how to keep their smile radiant. So now the children have even more reasons to smile.

White Colour Day


To infuse the concept of white colour to the tiny toddlers, Pre-Primary Wing of DPS Khanna celebrated ‘White Day’ on 17th September 2018. Little champs dressed white were made to recognize white colour through white objects and were made aware of the importance of milk. Students learnt the different products made from milk like curd, cheese, cream. The kids were encouraged to drink milk everyday and were advocated the benefits of drinking milk. Students also relished the tasty ‘kheer’ served to them.

Govinda Aala Re!!


As per tradition Delhi Public School Khanna celebrated Janmashtmi 2018 with a lot of enthusiasm. Children were dressed like ‘Radha’ and ‘Krishna’ in their beautiful and colourful attires. The students prepared a skit depicting the life of Lord Krishna. The audience was spell bound by the bhajans sung by the students. The Kathak performed was mesmerizing the special assembly came to an end with the National Anthem.

Engaged Enjoyed Educated


To facilitate the learning of mathematics Delhi Public School Khanna organized some fun-filled activities for the toddlers. The students were assigned with activities which would enhance their motor skills. They were made to colour various shapes so that they can learn and at the same time they could have fun. The toddlers learnt about various shapes and colours. The students had loads of fun while undertaking these activities.
