Delhi Public School Khanna celebrated the 76th Independence Day with great zeal and zest on the 15th of August, 2022 in the school premises. The programme commenced with the hoisting of the Tricolor by the Principal Mr.S. Mukherjee accompanied by the National Anthem. This was followed by a patriotic song lifting the spirits of patriotism.
A brilliant show of bhangra on the dance number ‘Veer Bhagat Singh’ earned the appreciation of one and all followed by scintillating play on ‘Value of Freedom’,eloquent speeches by the Head Boy and Head Girl highlighting the significance of the day. A lovely recitation of the poem ‘Badi mushkilon se humne ye azadi payi hai’ mesmerized the audience. A live art performance drew patriotic fervour which was an extraordinary depiction to behold. The choreography on ‘Bharat humko jaan se pyara hai’ was the highlight of the day. The message given by the tiny tots of DPS Khanna through their enactment ‘Colours of India’ was quite loud and clear.
The programme took a heart-warming turn with the inspiring speech given by the respected Principal Mr. S. Mukherjee. He emphasized that the National Flag must be always held high. It embodies our Independence which was attained by huge suffering and massive sacrifices to dislodge the pernicious British imperial regime. To sum it up, the bright and cheerful faces of all the participants and the audience brimming with patriotism testified that the programme concluded with great success.

11th Annual Sports Meet
Delhi Public School Khanna celebrated its 11th Sports Meet with great enthusiasm.Mr.Amandeep Singh Rai,IPS,Additional Director General of Police Intelligence ( Punjab) graced the occasion as a Chief Guest and inspired the students by telling that sports field teaches great lessons in life.
The Principal,S Mukherjee stressed upon the equal importance of sports,play,study and activities at DPS Khanna.The school groung looked spectacular due to the rainbow gathering.Rhythmic Exercises With Rings,Surya Namaskar and Horse Show rejuvenated the spirits of spectators.Arshdeep Singh and Tamanna Billing were declared the best athletes of the meet and Tusker House was declared the best house of the year 2021.
The Chairman Mr.D.S.Bains said that ethics in sports need four key virtues like fairness,integrity,responsibility and respect for the opponents.The event concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.

75th Independence Day Celebrations
It is a day of pride for us all as India celebrated its 75th Independence Day. Delhi Public School Khanna celebrated the 75th Independence Day through a virtual assembly.
The programme commenced with the hoisting of the Tricolor by the Principal Mr S. Mukherjee accompanied by the National Anthem. He highlighted the contributions of the unsung heroes during the Covid 19 crisis. These brave hearts generated hope during unprecedented calamity.
This was followed by a patriotic song which lifted the spirits of the audience to a higher level.A brilliant show of art and craft titled ‘Creativity takes Courage’, earned the appreciation of one and all. An interesting animation on ‘Corona Free India’ enthralled the audience. The mime show depicting the emotions felt by the national flag was the highlight of the programme.An eloquent speech by a student highlighting the significance of the day and the theme of the occasion made all the listeners proud of be Indians. A lovely recitation of the poem ‘Vijya Vishva Tiranga Pyara’ mesmerized the audience. The play on ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ enthralled the audience with their rocking performance. The message given by the tiny tots of DPS Khanna through their enactment ‘We are Independent’ was timely. The Chairman, Mr DS Bains said that while India attained political freedom in 1947, many of of its citizens are still chained to poverty. He motivated all the DPS family members to work hard eradicate poverty from India. He further added that education is the only tool that can banish poverty and make our country prosperous.
The celebrations ignited the flame of patriotism in every heart today.
AISSE 2019-20
DPS Khanna- Basking in the Glory of Excellent Board Result of Class X
Keeping the tradition of its success story, students of Delhi Public School Khanna have added yet another feather in its cap by producing excellent results in Class X CBSE Board Examination. 19 students (more than 28%) have scored over 90% marks whereas 22 students (about 32%) have scored over 80% marks.
SukhdeepKaur, the topper of DPS Khanna, has brought laurels to school by scoring 96.4% marks. Anupam Gupta bagged the second position by getting 96.2% marks. Karandeep Singh Gill achieved the third position by getting 95.2% marks.
The Management and the staff of Delhi Public School Khanna congratulated the students and their parents on the outstanding performance of the students.
AISSCE 2019-20
Students of Delhi Public School Khanna have shown a remarkable performance in CBSE Class XII Board Results. 17 students (more than 22%) have scored over 90% marks.
Aashutosh Shahi of Commerce has bagged the first position in school by scoring 95.8% marks whereas Raminder Kaur Otaal has bagged the second position by scoring 95% marks in Medical Group. Chetan Kaur Aujla has secured the third position by scoring 94.4 % marks, whereas Prabhjot Kaur Gill scored 94.2 % marks in Medical Group.
Jasleen Gill from Humanities came out with flying colours by getting 93.2% marks. Jobanpreet Kaur Buall has shown an outstanding performance by getting 92.8% marks in Non-Medical Group.
Rashkarandeep Singh Cheema and Reman Singh enthralled everyone by scoring 100% marks in Painting. Aashutosh Shahi scored 100% marks in Physical Education.

Graduation Ceremony 2020
A broad smile was writ large on the faces of the students of Kindergarten section of DPS Khanna during the Graduation Ceremony. To applaud the young enthusiastic learners for their commendable performance in the session 2019-2020, the ceremony was held on March 3, 2020 in the school premises.
Mr. D.S.Bains, the Chairman of the school was the Chief Guest and the occasion was graced by Mr. Sandeep Singh, SDM of Khanna. Students were felicitated with certificates and scrolls by Mr. Bains on their promotion to Grade I.
It was a red letter day for the students as well as their parents. The tiny tots seemed quite enthusiastic and they felt honoured. The day started with a Welcome Dance by the students of Nursery. Small kids of Prep-II enthralled everyone by performing Mime on the theme ‘Save Trees- Save Environment’.
Prep-I kids gave a mesmerizing performance through the Role Play depicting the difference of Old and Modern Times which left everyone spellbound. The students of Prep III rocked the stage with another foot tapping dance performance. Last but not least, students of Prep stole the show with a melodious Choir performance.
The Chairman exhorted the students to be sincere and to diligently and truthfully march forward to achieve their goals and inculcate the 21st Century skills – Creativity, Curiosity, Critical thinking and Self -Regulation.
The students thoroughly enjoyed putting on their Graduation gowns and caps. It was indeed a joyous and memorable day for the little ones and their parents.The programme came to an end with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Neha Rattan, the Headmistress of the School.
Nuances of Spring Fest ‘2020
Delhi Public School Khanna organized ‘Spring Fest’ on the 3rd of February, 2020 in the School premises. The programme commenced with the Prayer song presented by the students of Grade Prep. The tiny tots of Grade Nursery and Prep rocked the stage with their stunning Dance performance. The young scholars of Grades I, II and III shared their joyful experience in the School on the stage expressing their heart-felt feelings and gratitude for the school and their teachers. The students of Prep II mesmerized everyone with their Role Play on the story of Red Riding Hood. The young musicians of Grade II and III showcased their love for music through orchestra. The Ghoomar Dance presented by the students of Grade II was the highlight of the day. A number of recreational activities including Retro Tambola, Musical Flower, Crossword, Bond with Buddy, Ramp Show, Talent Hunt were arranged for the mothers of these children. The fun and Frolic dance saw the overwhelming participation of the mothers. Pratibha Verma, the mother of Manvi Verma of Pre Primary was given the title of Ms. Spring Fest. It was a fun-filled day for everyone present.
